There is something about thinking about the shot that makes me not
realize just how stupid I'm being. I put the macro lens on my camera,
and the 16-50 in my pocket because my camera bag was in the car, and the
macro was in the house and I was just about to head off to the photo
club meeting. Half a dozen shots in, the 16-50 fell out of my pocket
onto the concrete walkway.
The glass seems fine, but something in the focus mechanism is broken, it
will not focus in either manual or automatic mode. I'll be sending it
back to precision tomorrow.
Unfortunately, that's my only WR lens, and rain is coming. So in the
department of it doesn't hurt to ask, is anybody selling, or thinking of
selling a WR lens, preferably inexpensively? Perhaps an 18-55 WR that
you haven't used since you got a 16-50?
FWIW KEH ahs one with the hood for $84.
