Nice! It has that same "painterly" kind of tone as Jack Davis's recent
Gray Lodge PESO.

I see a beautiful kind of light as characterized by "Luminism" in 19th
century American landscape paintings of the Hudson River & American
Barbizon schools.

But, what exactly do you mean by "a short excursion"? Surely you didn't
get out of the car and wander around on foot waiting for him to leave?
