I think it makes a difference, but for me the extra stop and slightly shorter Fl make the 85 a bit more hand-holdable and suitable for low light. For me the 24/2 (or 20-35/4) and 77/1.8 are the ideal 2 lens combo. This is a preference only you can make up your mind about.
