Researching "darkroom" on YouTube I found a photography professor
mentioning the "bible" of the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s "Photo Lab Index".
After researching a bit, I decided to snag a couple of cheap copies:
One from 1946 and another from 1960. The 1946 version appears to be a
2nd Edition and is a hardcover book. The 1960 is a "LifeTime Version"
in a (8-ring?) binder that you could order additional annual pages for
(so I'm not sure if this actually includes any of those) but for
STARTERS it is 1400 pages.

Later, apparently, they made a "Compact Photo Lab Index" which
weighted in at 700+ pages.

Just ordered both copies for under $20 total, so they will be on the
"slow boat" but I will follow-up with a report once I get them - in
the event that anyone is interested.

Part of the fun of setting up a darkroom again , for the first time in
30 years, is rediscovering all of the the old books and sources of
information that were once common, and now almost completely
forgotten.

Anyone remember the Photo Lab Index?
