Thanks, Ann. The guide told us that the stairs were under conservation
and were not used (the tour group used the back stairs to go up) - so I
don't know if the guy on them was an errant visitor from another group,
someone associated with the house or... what. One night we went on a
ghost tour of the old jail and no ghosts showed up on any of my shots.
Someone with an I Phone had a mysterious blotch of light in one of their
photos and we all agreed it defied explanation.
