After lunch a few days back, I noticed the way the light was hitting a
stand of dead trees on a nearby hillside. I think the image is pretty
nice, but my opinion may be colored by my memory of the view in person.

Nicole and I got a rather late start on a hike in the park down the
road, and of course we left the tripods in the car. This was shot at
ISO 12.8K, 1 second, braced against a log. I think that the interesting
contrasty nature of the photo might be a product of the high ISO.
