Steve, You know that of all the Pentax lenses I owned, the FA43 Limited is without a doubt my favorite. I have one again, acquired to use with my K-01.
Unfortunately, having tried it on the G1, GF1, E-M1, and E-PL7, and compared it with the Macro-Elmarit-DG 45/2.8 ASPH and Voigtländer Nokton 42.5/0.95, it doesn't make it. The FA43's focus is too light and short throw, making it hard to focus critically, and the imaging on FT sensors is lacking the crisp feel and lovely bokeh it produces on larger sensors. Both of the other two lenses outperformed it. The M-E 45 is my choice in this focal length for mFT. But knowing you prefer MF and an aperture ring, I'd spend the same money on the Nokton which is native mount for mFT.
