Grateful, Ann. So appreciate your remarks and judgment. The "Gray Lodge" shot is digital. You mentioned the sky's sketchy colors earlier and I set about working with it. As I proceeded, I began to get a queasy feeling that I shouldn't be there, so backed off. About that time I got two absolutely glorious compliments on the image and, I guess that sealed it for me...at least for the present. I'm so insecure! :)

I think Golden Butte is classic calendar stuff and would be a likely winner too. The painterly one, composition wise is stunning but I'm not as big a fan of that one as are others because the color of the sky doesn't seem real to me.. I think it is an overall too cyan cast. I bet you shot it with chrome that was a little past prime. If it was digital I stand corrected. They all are nice shots though. ann On 4/12/2016 11:42 AM, Jack Davis wrote: > > Each year, for a good many years, the local Sutter Butte Reginal Land Trust > has asked a local > group of picture takers to submit shots of the locally beloved "World's > smallest Mountain Range." > A volcano who's last and final eruption is estimated to have been prox 5M > years ago. > > Have had something in every calendar and am attaching links to the half dozen > I'm offering this year. > These are not unknown to the list, but I believe they are my best hope of > acceptance and as a result, > to receive a complimentary 2017 calendar. ;) > > C&C? > > J > > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1045 > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1046 > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1047 > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1048 > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1049 > http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=1050 > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
