Sorry can't answer your problem but thanks for reminding me about Pale
Moon.

For some reason, the latest versions of Firefox wont start on my Win 7
system - they install, and Task Manager tells me that the Firefox
process starts but there's no user interface.  I've been stuck at
Firefox 38 because of this.  I just installed the latest version of Pale
Moon and it works like a charm.  It's not compatible with the Sage
add-in I use (an RSS feed) but I can work around that.
