 Partly true re DOF.. but motion related as well - motion of the flowers...
I was battling wind and my hands and unhappily - I wasn't aware I was shooting at f 4.5 - thats a result of slipped fingers. Had it on auto focus, ap pref and 200 ISO - the auto focus zoned in on the branch - but that isn't really sharp either... that's the wind's fault I think. the only nicely sharp photos I gotthat day were the ones I took insidethe conservatory - no wind.

Ideally, in this one, I'd have liked the left most two blooms to have lots of detail.
