Yep, I find that EM-1 and 12-40/2.8 is exactly what I needed. Given the
general combination of ease of use, size/weight, IQ and convenience - I
am very happy camper.
Leica 100-400 would translate to 200-800 angle of view which is way
cool. I am fine with "limited" range of 12-40 - just wide enough and
just tele enough. Given the sensor size, these lenses seem to be
optimized for sharpness wide open. Oly 12-40/2.8 is outstanding at 2.8.
I will be getting Oly 25/1.8 (m43 nifty fifty). That probably is all I
really need.

That's pretty good. How are you finding the Olympus? A friend of mine
has mobility problems and is in a wheelchair, so he likes telephotos
and macro lenses mostly because they fit into what he can do.
He just bought himself the Leica 100-400 for his EM-1 and seems quite
content.
