Both takes are very nice Darren, but having seen the PUG version first I prefer that to your 2nd take on it.

I appreciate your comments on 'Seney Sunrise' - thanks.

Thanks for the mentions of my "I'm Still Standing", which was taken
only a few days before submission. I wasn't really happy with my
post-processing on it, however and so for those interested here is my
2nd run at it. I think these colors were much more what the eye saw
and more "Golden Hour-ish".

I certainly agree that Ken's "Seney Sunrise" leaps off of the page as
a thumbnail and doesn't disappoint at 800 pixels wide, either.
Similarly, Jack Davis' "Golden Hour" stopped me in my tracks. Love the
"painterly" quality of it. Also loved the colors and "alien landscape"
of Brian Walters' "The Pinnacles".

A great gallery all!

And yes Ann you might have seen this subject before - I shot this scene in portrait & landscape mode with several different lenses & might have posted
those before.

Such a nice gallery ..
Ken's leaps off the index page - traditional, yes, but the very best of
it.. think I've seen that one before.

My personal favorite of them all has to be Jan's Lake Powell - brought
tears to my eyes.. I swear Istood in that
nearly exact spot on a particularly lovely day back in the 80's - that's
my "I wish I'd taken that shot" - lovely, painterly,
wall worthy

G'day

A good-sized gallery this month. Paul and Bruce's portraits are both
excellent and of the more traditional 'golden hour' images, I really
like Philip's 'Hay Bales', Ken's 'Seney Sunrise', Jorge's 'Piriápolis'
and Darren's 'I'm Still Standing'. Interesting too, that there are
several *ist D and DS images, just showing that you don't need a K-1 to
produce good photography :-)>.

As usual you'll find the gallery here:

http://pug.komkon.org/

(you may need to refresh your browser if you see the previous gallery
there).

Note: The automated submission process usually works well but it's not
infallible. So, if you made a submission and you don't see it in the
gallery, let me know.

Next Up: "Hands".
