A 13” mac book pro could be ok for LR etc. as an interim. But I agree with
Larry - it is too small a screen. I have stopped even traveling with mine
because it is too much of a nuisance to use.
However, it can be a good interim solution if:
a. you have plans to later attach an external monitor, maybe external
drives and keyboard, AND
b. you make sure ahead of time that the generation macbook pro you buy
will support an external monitor of the type you want to use.Note occasional
mutterings here from Larry and others about older machines not supporting newer
monitors.
As far as price, I have no idea. But there are places selling used macs online.
Search, find one or two of these, see what sort of prices they are asking…
