G'day all This is something that has bemused me for some time.
Whenever I use the 18-135, it takes about 3-4 seconds for the image to be saved to the SD card. This is shooting either raw or JPGs. However, with any other lens, writing to the card is pretty much instantaneous. Apart from differences in FL & max aperture, the 18-135 is motor drive while the others are screw drive, but why would any of these factors affect the speed of writing to the card? The same behaviour occurs irrespective of any card I use (the current one is a Transcend 16GB, Class 10 45MB/s). The issue isn't a critical one for the sort of shooting I do (although it's annoying when shooting a bracketed set) but it's curious. Any thoughts?
