Not really. The hoopoe did actually find a larva but I missed the shot. The problem is the drought & we may only water gardens 2hrs/week. The coastal grass in the photo just dies off & has to be replanted. The underground stolons of the cynodon grasses survive & come to life in the next rainy season. From now on I'll have a mostly cynodon dactylon lawn.
