Subject: PESO blowed up
Posted for entertainment rather than photographic value. The reason
why I'm not a fan of the plastic radiators.

For those that care about such things, the rest of the album also
shows the $140 all aluminum replacement I bought for the car.
Last Thursday, Nicole and I were teaching at Thunderhill (on the 5
mile track). I was taking my student for a ride in the second
session. On the back straight I heard a "whump" noise and my
windshield was suddenly covered with water. That was a fairly easy
problem to diagnose.
Out of curiosity, do you guys use anti-freeze?
That depends. In my street car, on open track days, yes I do use
anti-freeze. One problem with anti-freeze is that not only can it be
more slippery than oil when on the track, but it is harder to see. Some
organizations ban its use.
It has the advantage of raising the boiling point of water, but the
disadvantage of reducing the heat capacity. Sometimes in race cars, I've
used a product by redline called water-wetter.
