You can say that until they take the manual coupling out of the camera

Have they taken the manual coupling off of them?
Not yet, but cost saving rules in manufacturing. That's what the
original FAJ lenses were all about, cost savings. Some was probably
passed on the the customer, but some also padded the bottom line.
There's no green button kludge to fix this one.
We survived that.
A couple of my favorite lenses from the film era were never made in A
livery. One I use all the time, one sits on a shelf mostly, because it
would be an action lens and I keep screwing up with the green button,
(and it can lead to maddeningly, inconsistent exposures even without my
screwing up).
The chicken littles seem to be having a heyday.
Not a chicken little, at this point my only attachment to Pentax is if
they let me use my old glass. If they don't I'll go elsewhere. If I've
got to replace everything then there's no reason to stay, I think I've
said this before.
Asahi Optical Co. is gone, Pentax is a Brand, why would I get tied up in
loyalty to a brand. I always liked Nikon, and Fuji makes some nice
cameras and lenses, I've never liked Canon,
Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
