My take on your photo...
I am about to do quite a few of these as I coach a team of
7 year olds. I have been at odds with myself on how best to
approach these without the same old run-o-the-mill 7 year
old with ball type photo.

In your photo you have a red and white tape disecting the entire
scene and there are a couple of other children visible in the
back ground. I dont know whether to love or hate the 'attitude'
of the subject, but it is thought provoking for me.

What I really like it the net. I think if the net _and_ the boy
were in focus this may produce a very dynamic result. I did some
quick and nasty editting and put the result at
http://www.oceania.net/kevin/new.jpg
to me, this is the type of result I would like to get for my teams
individual photos.

As for the 'rubbish' quality of the your photographic skills, I
learnt many years ago two things from a friend now gone.
'There is no good examples and no bad examples, there are just
examples' and 'If it is worth doing, it is worth doing pooly'

What the latter means is if you wish to do something, get in
there and look your results, then try to better yourself.
Not a stunning revelation on life, but, it works for me.

good shooting
