It will take about 2 years to extricate from the EU. Our biggest problems at the moment are the fact that Scotland will now demand a new referendum on leaving the UK, as all of Scotland voted to remain in the EU and the First Minister (Scotland) deems it untenable that the UK will drag Scotland out of the EU against its will. Also, as our Prime Minister has resigned, this will spark leadership contests and a very possible general election. >Good luck with all that. We've managed to last this long through history - albeit with some blood spilt along the way - and we are still here so I have no doubts that we will all get our heads together and make it work. We live in a democracy and at the end of the day we are highly pragmatic in situations like this.
