I tried the DA35 on the K-1 shooting against a lighter colored
background, and yes, it does vignette a bit. Not quite down to APS
levels of crop, but you only get about 40mm of unobstructed field of
view (unless you crop your photos square).

I'll just call the vignetting an artistic effect and go with that. It
probably cost Instagram several weeks of engineering to add a filter
that does the same thing.
