Scary stuff. I was cleaning a drawer with old equipment, and happened to look through the viewfinder of this otherwise pristine K1000SE:
https://goo.gl/photos/aB17DgUyT8SSXAvP7 There's no lens on the camera, the fungus appears to be on the viewfinder optics. This camera was last used maybe 8-10 years ago. The camera is now at the bottom of a box destined to the recycler. My lenses, which were on a nearby drawer and seem all clean, are baking under the California sun now, apertures open and caps off. If you have old cameras laying around, make a point of checking them every now and then. Especially if they re anywhere near lenses that you care about! j -- Juan Buhler - http://www.jbuhler.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
