If American tax law were imposed upon Americans by a foreign power it
would be considered an act of war. The fact that US tax law is accepted
even by it's citizens is a wonder in and of itself. Without automated
help most US tax professionals couldn't fill out a simple tax return.
This in a country who's founding was based in part on a tax rebellion.
