Ouch!
I'm a big fan of digital color printing. I love working on a scan in
PhotoShop and then trying to make a perfect print. And I've desaturated
some color and printed it as BW. And I've scanned some BW for web use
and printing. But so far I can't touch the quality I can get on a silver
print. Ditto the enjoyment. Plus, BW printing is no more expensive than
digital printing. When you add up the cost of ink and good ink jet
paper, it's at least as expensive as the conventional darkroom. I can't
see giving up BW any time soon.
