On the surface, that may be true, but what if they took it in turns to dive? A pair of loonlings could drive you looney.

If one paddles toward them, or makes any noise, they'll dive. So, I
paddle very quietly, and try to let the canoe drift toward them while
I shoot. No sudden moves.
