I agree, in general. Even the viewfinder coverage isn't that big an issue for
me. I do miss having aperture control on the body, like the PZ-1p, but I don't
see how they could do that without very major changes so I'll live without it
(or use my PZ-1p). 

I think the most likely place to see the camera upgraded is in the shutter
mechanism. Higher flash sync and/or faster frame rate.
