I doubt they'll reverse their decision. The HTML hosting aspect is not their core business, is most likely an accidental feature/side-effect, adds a measurable load to their servers, and probably is abused by "warez" or porn providers. It's also possible they are planning an internal architecture change that is incompatible in some way with the HTML hosting so killing it officially now avoids a huge load of support calls later on.
