Hurricaine fizzled here, too

That's good.

It wasn't a hurricane when it got here on Saturday; just a Tropical
Storm. Around here all it did was rain off & on all day, and not too hard
at that. It was just your typical fall rainy day.

Might have been a bit more of a mess down along the coast, but the only
thing I saw on the news was the surfers were flocking to the outer banks
on Sunday because it left good waves in its wake.

Nor was it a hurricane when it left, but I saw where some of the weather
forecasts were suggesting it might gain hurricane strength once it got
out over the Gulf Stream. They were comparing its track with Sandy.

I was hoping it wasn't going to hit y'all that hard.

Nothing photogenic came from it around here.

Happy Hanukkah.

Memorial Day the unofficial "End Of Summer" in the USA. On the Coast
between Cape Hatteras, and Cape Cod the remnants of Tropical Storm
Hermine kept most people away from the shore. Well maybe government
warnings kept people away from the shore. It was kind of a bust,
especially here in Connecticut, where Long Island Sound was almost as
smooth as glass. I took the dog for a walk along the shore road and
took a few photos along the way. This group includes the PDML bird I
posted earlier.
