Perfectionism is one of my vices, alas.
Thanks anyway.

PS. A golfer is someone who drives a smallish Volkswagen, right? :-)

As long as you don't practice your mistakes like a 24hcp golfer on the
driving range. BTW, fine image - obviously you're a perfectionist.

Thanks Ann. :-)
The lens is okay. Today's attempt with flash-only and shorter exposure
time improved sharpness. As did choosing f/5.6 over f/8 or f/11, but it
increase process time because of the higher number of shots in a stack.
Practice, practice. :-)

First bug test with newly aquired Pentax K 24mm f/3.5.

Stacked from about 70 shots, made at f/8. The lens has less contrast
than I expected, or it is more prone to flare than I'm aware of.
Still working on how to set the lighting well. For this one I used a
flash and two LED lights. To get a proper balance between the light
sources I had to use shutter speeds of 1/15s. Because of that, it's
too soft focused, but okay for web. Got to get around to work on a
setup with more than one flash.
