Yes. It's that easy. And any camera doing TTL metering is fine as long as it's truely center-weighted, because of the serious edge fall-off with pinholes. Also, the LX would be outstanding because of its high sensitivity, providing for dim light pinhole exposures that other bodies couldn't attain.
The material is fairly important. Brass seems to be the most popular material. It's easy to work with. Plastics are ok, but can easily be made out-of-round, having a detrimental affect on the image. Steels work but can be too reflective. You can take a body cap, drill a hole in the middle of it, and center your pin hole over top of it. Attach it with some dark silicon or really anything dark and adhesive. Just keep it in tight to the cap. You will probably want to recess it into the cap to help with the "focus". The size of the hole can be learned about here: http://www.photo.net/pinhole/pinhole This could be interesting -- street pinhole photography! :) Seriously, Shel, you've done some nice work over the time I've been on PDML, and I think you should consider an article for one of the industry rags. ******************************************** From: Shel Belinkoff <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Pinhole Question When photographing in "Pinhole Mode" does one use a body cap or a lens with a lens cap with a pinhole in it? It seems that the LX would be an excellent choice for pinhole photography. - -- Shel Belinkoff ******************************************** -- Collin Brendemuehl, KC8TKA ----------------------- "Get over it."
