HI Larry, I use the V6 not the V6ii, and I'm not sure of what added features there are, but it seems to include high speed sync. The system essentially gives you manual control of remote flashes via radio. Not TTL control.
You set one unit on your camera as a transmitter and each remote flash has a receiver (both the same unit, just set it to Tx or Rx). From there you have 4 channels to control the power output of any flashes centrally to 0.5 or 0.3 of a stop without running around manually tweaking each one. This works very well for what I need, and it does let you use most brands of modern flash together (I have not tried to teach the units to use an analogue TTL flash, but the manual says it can be done). Hope this helps. If it sounds like it will do what you need I'm happy to go into more detail.
