I just responded to Alan at a bit more length and included a photo of mine from Taos ...my guess was that was where you were.

If I'd known youwere going to Taos too I would have made a couple suggestions... Taos was the first place I did summer theatre, in the

summer of 1956.. I lived just off the plaza on the road down to the Harwood Foundation.. Went back several times- in the 80's and 90's

and on my cross country road trip in 2001... escaping 9/11 The pueblo was in a sad state back in 1956... and in the 80's ...

Guessing you also visited Rachos de Taos and the church of reknown.. you post has me waxing nostalgic.look forward to your

photos of the area

The background is not the Middle East, of course, but Taos Pueblo in New
Mexico.
