However, I have an issue with the photograph! As I said in the original post, it's on the end of a small parade of shops, but the bottom of the painting is probably about 5 foot above the ground, where the brickwork turns to a rendered finish that can be painted. As such, it's difficult to get any interaction with the image; taken from further back there are too many distractions, and there is no way easily for any living bird to perch in the picture. So, what I'm left with is a photograph of the work of someone else. Apart from recording the scene, have I added anything else to it, as in effect, all I have done is put that work in a frame?
