I am impressed by the simlicity of the solution for tethering kids' gloves that is (was?) widely used in Russia. You take an thick thread/thin rope, or better yet an elastic band that sometimes is used as a waistband in pants (a narrow one, 1/4" - 1/3"), and attach two gloves/mittens to its ends. It looks like this: https://goo.gl/8j8TdA Then you insert that band through the sleeves of the winter coat so that the gloves are hanging out of the sleeves. You can also saw the middle of the tether to the back of the coat (inside). But, of course, if the coat is lost, ... ;-) I would guess there might be some tethering solutions for cell phones... Like you have for the lens caps. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ <Sigh> He's 21 and in his third year of university - where he is doing very well. His ability to break or lose things is certainly worth a first. I will pass your suggestion on to my wife; regardless of his age, it has merit!
