Subject: PESO: Artsy-Fartsy Moon

Last night I tried to get as technically correct a shot of the moon as I could
with the equipment available to me. It was all about recording the detail.
Tonight I tried to shot an aesthetically pleasing shot. I know I’m much more a
technician than an artist, but that serves e well in the commercial world. In
any case, it’s all a lot of fun.

Shot this one with the K-1 and the D FA 150-450 with no converters. Had to do a
lot of manipulation to get the exposure of the sky, trees and moon where I
wanted them. But I think it worked. Exposure was f8, 1/60th at ISO 400. But I
pushed the exposure more than two stops and yanked back the highlights a bunch,
then boosted the shadows as well. Some dodging and burning too.
