IIRC, StarStax is okay for blending the exposures, but not much else. It's a very basic piece of software. However it's very cool for creating looong star trails from individual exposures.

StarStaX is a good option (a free application for windows,
mac and linux; the linux version is at 0.60 and the windows/mac
versions are at 0.71):
