Hmm - well maybe what I just saw was a USB _C
but as long as I can plug the USB3 in to my bus I should be ok
anyway - It won't happen in the next few days

get an adaptor or get an external drive that is USB2
That is not right. I plug USB 3 drives into USB 2 ports all of the
time. I had to install a USB 3 card in my desktop mac pro to get the
USB 3 ports on it.
There is also USB-C which is the latest standard and what is on the
latest mac books.
