I was playing local tour guide to overseas visitors to Sydney last week and what I observed was that by far the majority of snaps being take by tourist were on digital cameras followed in popularity by video cam user and then a handful of SLR users (a good mix of old and new, saw a Super A in use at the zoo). So it's of no surprise to me, many of the smaller digicams were being worn by their owners slung on a neck cord or wrist strap. Fortunately your not likely to get mugged for a camera in Sydneys popular tourist areas.
