I don't know. I think we're spoiled. Sure small sensor cameras lack dynamic range, when compared to larger formats, but compare any format larger than 1" to 35mm slide film. Even 35mm reversal film didn't have 13+ stops of dynamic range.

i think the smaller-sensor cameras still need a new sensor technology to surpass their limits in dynamic range and low light capabilities; plus EVF display tech could still improve, along with the mechanics/ergonomics of things like focus peaking, wireless transfer, organizing photos (on camera)
