Everyone here worships sunset, which is usually spectacular.  Sunrises are
hard to see, because there is a 10,000 ft mountain between where we are and
the rising sun.

Thursday I rose early to paddle with the Kihei Canoe Club.  On the way,
there was a gorgeous display high in the east, as tje sun rose behind
Haleakala.  Since my wife was driving, a grabbed a shot or two out the
passenger window:
