Everyone here worships sunset, which is usually spectacular. Sunrises are hard to see, because there is a 10,000 ft mountain between where we are and the rising sun.
Thursday I rose early to paddle with the Kihei Canoe Club. On the way, there was a gorgeous display high in the east, as tje sun rose behind Haleakala. Since my wife was driving, a grabbed a shot or two out the passenger window: http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=18339773 K-5 IIs, 18-135 zoom. Comments are welcome.
