Didier Pironi did lead the championship after that and would have won it but he too had an accident later on and could not score more points so Rosberg was the champion in 1982. IIRC both Ferraris were in good health in Imola 1982 and team orders were to hold positions, which Pironi ignored and rushed past Gilles to win. The next round was in the Netherlands where Gilles lost his life during qualifying. IMO Rubens deserved to win! All the best!
