Of note though is that even though they flit, they aren't terribly shy... one got into our apt in Maine (back in the 1960's) and I managed to entice him on to the business end of a straw broom... as I slowly lowered him to walk him to the door and let him out, he jumped on my shoudler and stayed there until we reached the door... I was enchanted
