Hi Guys, I don't get much time to hang out here these days but I'm still shooting Pentax for the moment, two K3's and a K5iis. The following gallery is an example of one of the types of events I shoot these days (for those not on FB). There are shots in there for the producers, the artists and the audience, many of the audience are performers themselves so it's an interesting gig to shoot.
Typically the light is pretty poor and mixed, I just generally wind up the ISO and get on with it. Some shows I'm rarely below ISO3200 and occasionally up to ISO26500. I work with a pair of cameras, one fitted with a long zoom and one with a short one, that way I don't have to swap lenses during pieces and I can grab the other camera when I have run out of buffer, which happens pretty regularly. There are some stitched panos at the end for a broader horizontal FOV, all shot hand held and stitched in LR6.
