I am working out of Baltimore for a week. This weekend I got to attend my
cousin's wedding in Orange, Virginia. I had no part in the wedding so I was
free to enjoy fully.
I ended up walking the grounds on Saturday morning and taking some color
slides and b&w. I was using a couple of LX. Even took shots of the touch
football game the groom used to relieve stress. For the wedding and
reception I ended up taking a couple of rolls of b&w. First time I have
done that for a wedding - can't wait to get home to have the rolls
developed. I ended up using the MZ-S. I enjoyed using the RTF on it and
being able to cover my 24mm lens. I used the 24/2.8 and 77/1.8 exclusively.
NO need to bring out the AF280T or the Quantum battery.
There was a guest who is a photographer and shoots concerts. I did not
talk with him much but at the reception he noticed that I was not using the
LX as I was earlier. He shoots Nikon. I let him handle the MZ-S and 77
Limited. He commented on its great feel in terms of build. He was also
impressed with the manual focus feel of the 77. No, I don't think I
converted him :-)
Today was a nice brunch with family and friends. A nice end to the
weekend.
