As to the closeness, remember I'm shooting with the K-3, so the view with a
300mm is 450mm, given that, my feeders are only about 12-15 feet from my
doorwall so I'm already very close to start with.

This female actually appeared to be posing for me, she stayed on that
branch for quite some time. She was somewhat rare as I've normally
had many more visits by the male than females.
