Hi Larry & SF Bay Area Folks + Others, it is sad when Mom & Pop Stores close, as some of them become so embedded in a city's cultural life.
Kaufmann Cameras was another one of those iconic stores in San Mateo, the Bay Area, California. I believe they moved some where near South San Francisco an sincerely hope they are doing well. The owners, elderly folks were gentle people with encyclopedic knowledge of all things photographic. And their used gear were certainly cheaper than that of KEH.
