Lagavulin was once my single malt of choice, but it's now overpriced. I also
find it a bit too sweet. I'm now a fan of Laphroig 10. To my taste it has the
deepest peat flavor and it's reasonably priced. I drink blends as well to save
dollars but prefer single malts. Believe it or not, the Kirkland blend sold at
Costco is very good and all malt. It reminds me of Macallan. Too sweet and no
peat, but good.
