It's all Mark and Doug. I get sent a link and some quiet expectation that I

This year I almost made it to the finish line until my eyesight was cruelly

I blame my mother.

Hope you’re ok, Bill! Christine

It's coming along. I noticed late last year that I wasn't seeing things at
distance as well as i was used to, and wrote it off as needing a new
prescription. Then I was thirsty all the time, and over the course of a couple
of weeks my vision went bad enough that something 5 feet away was a blur and
looking at a computer screen was excruciatingly painful.
And it dawned on me that I was probably diabetic, which was the case. I've been
medicating for about a month, and my eyesight is passable, but my blood sugar
is controlled at about 16mg/l, about double what it should be.
I have another blood test on Monday, another doctors visit on Friday, and will
probably have my medication increased.
Something I learned was that the high blood pressure med I was on interfered
with metformine. We got that fixed a week ago, and this week I feel a lot
better than the warm turd I've felt like since the end of January.

Sorry to hear all that, Bill. One of my brothers has T2 diabetes, not nice. It
can apparently be reversed. Here's the science:
