Hi! My trustworthy ProgramA is ill. I mounted a thirdparty 2X converter (APK?) and made a wrong move somewhere. The 2X converter got stuck and I had to use some force to get it off (bad idea).
I saw that the aperture read mechanism, that is, the lever thats situated to the right in the lens mount if you look at the mount from the front of the camera (please correct me if Im wrong), was bent. I bent it back very gently and everything looked fine. Until now. I can no longer get a correct reading of the aperture. If I, in aperture priority mode, turn the aperture ring, nothing happens to the time. It is as the camera no longer is aware of the aperture and are stuck at the smallest aperture at all times. I do a very gentle bending on the mentioned lever and all is fine for some days/months. And then the problem comes back. I have another camera now, but I would hate to throw away my old beloved backup. Any help would be appreciated. Petter Skne, Sweden - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
