When I was in Rouen a few years ago they did some spectacular son et lumière 
projections onto the facade of the cathedral, including Monet's paintings, 
which was all very post-modern given that they were projecting multiple 
versions of a simulacrum of a representation of the original onto the 
reconstruction of the original.
