Hi Rick - my take FWIW -
In the first one, I intended the in-focus blossoms to make a “swoosh”
beginning upper left and ending upper right. In LR I added 1/2 stop to it
to help it stand out from the background. I tried a few different
apertures; this one (f/6.7) probably has a little too much DOF.
While I can see the swoosh you intended, it's masked by the similar white
blooms in the background. It either needs more separation from the
background or better yet the background need to be totally different - like
the green leaves at the bottom.
My intent with the pink dogwood was similar, except for using an arc
instead of a swoosh.
This image has very nice subjects but they need to be emphasized by showing
the most complete buds and minimizing the partial buds that surround the
three central to the image - ie a tighter crop on the three central buds and
minimizing the green space to the right of the center buds.
In the third one, I wanted to include the OOF blue flowers in the
background. Looking at it again, I would crop out the blossoms peeking in
from the bottom and right.
A tighter crop, as you stated, would accomplish a more pleasing image IMO.
